I was awarded today with the Departmental Distinction Award in English from the University of Wisconsin. According to the award ceremony's program, the award is from the faculty, and it "recognizes outstanding students in their fields of study."
Also according to the campus website, "The recipient of this award has had a strong influence, through their work and method of working, on other students in the department, and has also contributed to the spirit and vigor of the department."
I'll scan or photograph the award sometime soon and post it here in order to unashamedly brag about it further.
